Worship is central to our life together. As Anglicans, we believe that how we pray shapes what we believe. As Episcopalians, we come from diverse backgrounds, have different life experiences, and hold varied theological beliefs. When we come together to worship, we are a beautiful expression of the fullness of the image of God, a living example of the Body of Christ.
We trust God enough to allow our curiosity and our doubt to be a part of our faith and our conversations. We ask and seek answers to the big questions. We wonder what God would have us do, relying on the example of Jesus' life and ministry and the guidance of the Holy Spirit in our discernment.
We know that our relationships with God, each other, and the world are nurtured in many ways. We enjoy the ways we are free to ask questions, express our doubts, and to explore what it means to live our faith. We do this in many ways, some of which are more traditional, others more "creative." Some of our educational offerings are ongoing, others are seasonal. Some of these are geared to children, youth, or adults, others are intergenerational.
We know that relationship with God grows deeper and wider through our prayer. We believe that all prayer is in response to the nudging of the Holy Spirit. We trust that God listens and listens deeply. We have faith that God will answer our prayers. We accept and often delight that sometimes the answers to our prayer comes in ways and at times we might not have imagined.
We find joy in knowing that we are beloved children of God who choose to answer the call to share that love with the world. And we don't take ourselves too seriously even as we express our deep reverence for God and all the blessings of this world. We enjoy ourselves in worship, in our many ministries, and in our fellowship.
We love to live our faith! We are a vibrant community with many ways to serve God by loving one another and to love God by serving others. There are ministries "within our walls" and "beyond our borders." We invite you to consider adding your gifts to any of these ministry teams. And, if there's something you feel passionate about or want to explore as a potential ministry, let's talk about it.
