Baptism is one of two Sacraments in the Episcopal Church (the other being the Eucharist) and is an outward and visible sign of an inward and spiritual grace. The Episcopal liturgy says that we are welcomed into the "household of God." In the Episcopal Church, baptism is celebrated in the context of our common worship, except in cases of emergency or other exigent circumstances.
