We celebrate the Holy Eucharist each Sunday at 10:00 am. We use the traditional Episcopal Book of Common Prayer and a number of other authorized liturgical resources. All are welcome at God's Table for Communion or a blessing.
Our service includes choral music and congregational singing, as well as organ preludes and postludes on our magnificent Beckerath organ. All are invited to Coffee Hour in the parish hall immediately following the service. Come to meet new people or to catch up with friends and family.
All ages are welcome! Our experience is that most families choose to have their children ages preschool thru 5th grade go to Children's Chapel for the first half of the service. The children join the adults for Communion. Nursery care is available, with parents deciding whether or not to bring their children ages 1 year to pre-school in for Communion. Children's Chapel and Nursery open at 9:45 am. Our Nursery Care Provider and Children & Youth Minister are professional teachers.
On the second Sunday of the month we have an aptly named Second Sunday Intergenerational Service. Showing our children in experiential ways that we welcome them in the most important activity of our common life - our worship - is one of the best ways to nurture their faith and Christian identity. Children learn about God and faith in the ways most adults do, by active participation in the full Eucharistic celebration, with some changes to the service to make it more "youth-friendly," though it really does appeal to God's children of any age.
